How Well the Camry Holds Up in the Snow

Many people wonder what is so great about the Toyota Camry, and we’ve been happy to tell you plenty about the many great features and aspects of the popular sedan. One thing that we haven’t told you about is how well the Camry holds up in the snow. Though it is a sedan, it can get you through the winter with no problem.

One important thing to keep in mind is that tires can make a world of difference. Even a large SUV can have trouble in the snow if it has low friction, fuel efficient tires on it. So if you make sure that your Camry has all-weather, or even better, snow tires, it will handle excellently.

Vehicles with front wheel drive, like the 2015 Toyota Camry, do well in the snow. They certainly do much better than rear wheel drive vehicles. The idea is that pulling is better for control than pushing is.

The sedan also offers a number of features that help it remain steady on the road. With vehicle stability control, traction control, ABS and electronic brake-force distribution, the Toyota Camry is ready for anything you throw its way.

That being said, there are also certain ways you should drive to remain in control when there is snow on the ground. Slow acceleration and deceleration is key. When there is enough snow on the ground tires do not have direct contact with the road and it can be difficult to have any kind of traction on snow as it is prone to being loose. It also helps to refrain from braking while taking corners or doing any sudden movements.

The Toyota Camry is one of the all around best handling and safest vehicles on the road. it works well all year long and will keep going for years to come.
